ALL CARDS PURCHASED FROM US WITH A MEMORY CARD WILL ALREADY HAVE ALL SOFTWARE AND FIXES NEEDED TO FUNCTION SO THERE IS NO NEED TO WIPE MEMORY CARD AND START AGAIN.

ALL CARDS PURCHASED WITHOUT MEMORY CARDS WILL ALREADY HAVE FIX APPLIED TO CARDS FOR YOU SO YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW BELOW INSTRUCTIONS: 

Depending on the R4 card that you have, you will require specific software in order to run your device as there are many r4 cards on the market that look identical to each other but they all require their own software to be able to function. Please check which version of r4 card(and manufacturer) you have and locate the relevant R4 software you require and follow the instructions for that device. All software downloads are direct from the card manufacturers.

R4v2 Software:

Download link:  http://download.r4ds.me/v1.18/R4_v1.18_English.zip to desktop

Download winrar software(http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar400.exe) if you haven’t got uncompressing software on your computer

Right click on download called “English 1.18” and select “extract to English 1.18”

Click into the new folder appeared on desktop called  “English 1.18” and find files named as follows:

  •  _system_ (folder)

  • Moonshl (folder)

  • _DS_MENU.DAT

  • _DS_MSHL.NDS


Highlight all of the above names files and folders. Copy all

Insert the micro SD memory card into the USB stick and insert into computer

Double click My Computer and find Removable disk

Double click into removable disk

Paste contents previously copied to the root of the memory card(not in a folder but directly on memory card)

Remove memory card from USB stick and insert into card at back

Your device should be ready to function


R4 SDHC (Black box) Software:

Apply fix as per following diagram http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/Readme_en.html  if you do not 1.43 printed on the r4 card front
